R&D of a Parameterized Method for 3D Virtual Human Body Based on Anthropometry

چکیده
The traditional individual 3D virtual humand modeling method has drawbacks of mass data and complex post-processing. It doesn’t suit the Web application. The research presented in this paper is to propose a novel real-time approach of 3D human parameterized modeling based on anthropometry. According to the principle in Anthropometry and Anatomy, the model surface is divided into several parts. The human crosssection of torso and limbs are simulated by surper-ellipse curvers. Some feature points are selected from supre-ellipse curvers to generate the Nurbs surfaces of torso and limbs. A hiberarchy parameterization driven mechanism based on Anthropometry data is used to calculate parameter values during the humand model generating. The experiment result indicates that the method is flexible, little data quantity, easy-control, realistic and exact, and fit for many Web applications such as virtual image-building, virtual human motion and virtual try-on.

Introduction: Nowadays virtual colonoscopy has become a reliable and efficient method of detecting primary stages of colon cancer such as polyp detection. One of the most important and crucial stages of virtual colonoscopy is colon segmentation because an incorrect segmentation may lead to a misdiagnosis. Materials and Methods: In this work, a hybrid method based on Geometric Deformable Models...
متن کاملReconstructing human push recovery reactions using a three dimensional under-actuated bipedal robot
This paper presents the ability of hybrid zero dynamics (HZD) feedback control method to reproduce human like movements for walking push recovery of an under-actuated 3D biped model. The balance recovery controller is implemented on a three-dimensional under-actuated bipedal model subjected to a push disturbance. The biped robot model is considered as a hybrid system with eight degrees of freed...

متن کاملA Web3D Based CAESAR Viewer
The CAESAR (Civilian American and European Surface Anthropometry Resource) project completed in 2002 has collected 3D scans of over 5000 subjects. We have created a 3D interface, the NIST CAESAR Viewer (NCV), utilizing the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) to provide 3D access via the Web. In addition to simply viewing the 3D scans we have augmented the display of the body with interacti...
